She's A Butterfly!

I just spent a few hours talking with a friend down the street about my Sarah. It seems like each time we move we get to explain our daughter to neighbors, friends, and ward members multiple times. Each time I'm asked about her I have the words to one of Martina McBride's songs "She's a Butterfly" run through my head. I tried to put it on my playlist tonight, but couldn't locate that exact song. I'll keep trying. You'll have to take a listen after I post it on my song list.

I love that our Heavenly Father sends us all to earth with different challenges! Sarah's happens to be Prader-Willi Syndrome, and most days it's actually a blessing to our family. I am amazed and get chills every time I think of the difference Sarah makes in our lives and everyone she sees each day. She has more determination to accomplish things than anyone I know. She's never let obstacles get in her way.

Just like the song says, "everywhere she goes, everbody knows she's so glad to be alive!" She is a pure light in our life and her hope inside her rubs off on all of us. I learn so much from this precious girl everyday. If we all could just take our "different colors" in our life and make them "butterflies" we'd be better off. I pray each day that I can help her know how special and loved she is.
