Justin Helped Save A Life!

We were in the car tonight, driving up to the mall when both Justin and I saw a fire under a car pulled off on the side of the freeway. He quickly pulled over--a distance away so we wouldn't blow up. As he ran back to see what he could do, I called 911! Only one other car had stopped and luckily she had a fire extinguisher. They quickly got the fire out luckily, but all our hearts stopped for a few moments not knowing what to expect.

I just can't believe nobody had even stopped. As far as we could tell--we were the only one's that had called 911. The fire truck got there just a few minutes later, so we left. Justin was able to give this woman a big hug. She was a Continental Airlines employee and grateful he was there. She had pulled over because her car had just suddenly stopped, and realized when she got out of her car that it was on fire.

I can't imagine what I would do in a situation like that. I'm going to get a fire extinguisher in my car; just because I have one it will probably never happen to me. May I suggest to pull over when someone is in need of help? You never know what difference you can make. This woman wouldn't have had an extinguisher or a phone! The ending could have been so different!
