Blueberry Farm

We spent the early morning hours in the cool (for Houston), moist air picking blueberries today. The kids are so excited to make blueberry muffins, blueberry pancakes, blueberry smoothies, oatmeal smothered with blueberries and Spence told me "we could even have blueberry eggs!" Yum Yum!

The Moorhead's Blueberry Farm is only 30 minutes away from our house. They provide the buckets and bags and you can pick as many as you want. The blueberries are only a $1.50 a pound.

We arrived a little ahead of some of our friends and had fun trying to listen for voices we could recognize through the bushes.

We probably had about 6 lbs. picked, but poor Sarah was devistated to find she had accidently dumped over half of her bucket on the ground. Poor Sarah, but we managed to pick her a few more on our way out of the farm.

They look so yummy! I wish I could get my little girl to eat them. It's like the one fruit she refuses.

We went last week! We had fun, until the kids were too hot and sticky! Your muffins look very yummy! I have a great blueberry banana cake/bread recipe if you want it. Glad you had a good time :)

Awsome! I love Spencer looking over the counter. I have said this time and time again, but he is Justin all over again! That is a blessing!
