My cute little niece, Brigitta, tagged me:

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper; I like the old traditional way

2. Real tree or Artificial? I miss the real trees from childhood; artificial is so much less expensive and not as difficult these days (I'm just really picky that it has to look somewhat like the real thing)

3. When do you put up the tree? as soon as we can after Thanksgiving

4. When do you take the tree down? I like to wait until after my birthday (the 29th) my birthday presents are usually under the tree waiting

5. Do you like Egg Nog? not at all--poor Justin; I do have a so called Egg Nog recipe with sherbet and sprite in it that I like though. Justin says it's not technically Egg Nog though.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? My little kitchen and American Girl baby doll. I played hour after hour and day after day with those.

7. Hardest person to buy for? my Dad; his hobbies are way too expensive and when he wants something he goes out and gets it

8. Easiest person to buy for? my kids; their list is always simple, and pretty cheap

9. Do you have a nativity scene? yes, but it only has Mary, Joseph and Jesus. Can't wait until we can get the whole thing

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? usually mail; I'm on strike this year. You'll have to just wait until next year

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? my grandma gave me bright red underwear (it was silky too--I was about 7 yrs. old)

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? 1994 version of Miracle on 34th Street

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Usually after Halloween

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? No

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? almond cake, Lion House Wassail, sugar cookies

16. Lights on the tree? white ones are the best!

17. Favorite Christmas song? Silent Night; one of my first dates with Justin comes to mind every time I hear it

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? stay home on Christmas and travel after; I remember doing this as a child too

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? yip, ya know it! Spence and I just sang it!

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? A bow for the time being. I'd love to have an angel though. I remember always wanting to be the one to put the angel on top when I was little.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We can pick one to open Christmas Eve; it's usually p.j's from grandpa and grandma. Christmas morning we all line up on the stairs for pictures in our new p.j's and then take turns going to see what Santa brought (it's all just laid out). Then we open presents under the tree.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? I seriously can't handle all the sugar everywhere. I do like certain amounts of course. Sarah just makes things a little difficult.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I love getting all my christmas books out on the display. True Red and green are my favorite christmas colors to decorate with. Less is more is my theme!

24. What do you want for Christmas this year? Justin has it all figured out!
