Family In Houston
My brother (Steve) and his wife (Camille) brought their little boy (Mason) and came to visit last week! I haven't had very much family come and see where we live yet and it was fun to share our life with them. I often wish I lived closer to be able to just hang-out with my brother and sisters--Justin's too.
One other bonus I must add is my terrible morning sickness (more like all day, all night sickness) started to diminish while they were here. I've had a turn for the better and I'm gaining the "Old Megan" back. Yippee!
We spent time at the temple, our Stake Conference, and driving around our ward boundaries and neighborhood. Our perfectly wonderful neighbors let us trade cars with them for the week, so we had enough seats for all. Can I just add that no one really believes the hot, humid thing yet that visits; everytime they come we have some cold, dry spell happen. It was freezing while these guys were here! So unlike this place!
We got to "ter" (tour for Houstonians) the Minute Maid Stadium, home of the Astros. Never would have known this used to be an old train station, and I learned sooo much more! Then later we saw the Galleria Mall, where I finally bought my "Texas coasters". I never understood why a drink needed one of those things under it, until I moved to Houston.
Steve surprised us and bought tickets to opening night at the Houston Rodeo--Wow! We didn't get to go last year and we couldn't have gotten better seats or had such great company. The Rascal Flatt's concert was also quite the sight to see! We brought home cowboy hats for Sarah and Spence. We're real Texans now!
Oh, and we won't forget my great outfit! Who goes to a rodeo without their boots and sparkly belt! Thanks, Rachel, for lending them to me. I was so excited from the day Steve called me about this trip that I was on the hunt for something western to wear to the rodeo!
Great trip guys! Glad you made it home safe and Mason didn't throw up the second time.

Oh so fun to do TEXAN stuff! The rodeo is great! And the rodeo at school is so fun for the kiddos! I so miss March in Texas with the rodeo stuff and the blue bells! GOOD STUFF! You just are so darling in your sparkly belt, boots and your darling hair.
How fun! You look great in your Western get-up. And, have I mentioned lately that I LOVE your hair? I'm glad to hear that you are starting to feel better.
