Well, we still went. I did a little more resting rather then running around and enjoying life before I can't move (like I thought this trip would be), but it pulled me away from trying to keep up with it all (ya know, life!) We had sooo much fun! This is the first family vacation we have had since our beginning--real vacation, I mean. All our other trips are back home to visit and see family, which we love. But, this was hotel rooms, souvenirs, eating out--no peanut butter, getting splashed, using maps, all that good stuff.
See for yourself. . .
After an afternoon at Sea World we walked down to the River Walk from our hotel and ate at "The Iron Cactus". Oh, so yummy! You have to order their guacomole that they make right at your table. For some reason I crave Mexican food--spicy Mexican food all the time so this put me to rest :).
Spence loved watching the boat go under these bridges--this River Walk is so relaxing and calming, so much cooler down by the water too!
We've been teaching Spence about "Davey Crocket" in anticipation to go see the Alamo. He and Sarah found all the treasures on their papers they were given and were surprisingly very interested in the Histoy there. You just leave there feeling Texas pride! Sarah was a little concerned that it all had to do with dieing--food to come kept her happy!
I couldn't do the walking thing anymore so Justin got so spend hours at the pool and getting ice-cream with the kids. I was peaceful sleeping back at the hotel. What a Dad!
Love these two! Love that they love eachother too. They stopped here to watch the little baby ducks you can see over in the bushes. They were so cute.
My word, look at that tummy! That tummy has literally popped out in the last two weeks. This little girl is growing fast all the sudden. This is us watching the Shamu show at Sea World for our second time. Amazing!
The Sea Lion Show was one of our favorites. This was our second time here too. I personally enjoyed the before show entertainment--they have some pretty energetic actors at Sea World!
One of the favorites was certainly touching and feeding the dolphins. We picked the perfect part of the day in the cooler morning. The kids thought it was pretty great touching the slimy fish.
We got to watch the Dolphin show with the Beards and Haddox. The kids were pretty entertained by sitting in the splash zone and watching the silly before show act. Great times! Great times!
I've always thought the 4D shows are pretty fun, but it's even more entertaining when your husband has never been in one before and Spence was nervous the spider and bees were going to really get him. Sarah, wasn't about to where her glasses because she was so concerned that her feet kept getting wet and her chair wouldn't hold still. I just sat and laughed--which I've discovered is almost worst then walking around when you're trying to stop contractions.
We ran into the Haddox family and the Beard while we there. That was fun to have all the kids together and Justin was more then thrilled to have someone to go on the roller coasters and rides with. If you look close you can see Justin, Savannah, Sarah on the front row of the boat. Karen, Maya, Spence, and Dave on the second row. This was one really big drop and lots of water and splashing involved.
So, Spence was pretty excited to be tall enough for the Shamu ride so he went about 3 or 4 times. Of course, Justin had to go too. Too bad the picture doesn't capture little Spence, but look at Justin. I think it was his favorite ride-ha ha ha!!! Weee!
I didn't get a picture, but Sarah went on one of the biggest roller coasters there with Justin. She was barely tall enough. I guess her eyes were huge and she was holding on pretty tight. At the end she told Justin she wanted to go again, but she bonked her head! What a funny girl! She loves adventure!
Another fun place we ate at was the Rainforest Cafe. We all thought it was pretty fun, but Spence seriously couldn't eat a bite because there was so much to look at. The monkeys and elephant would come to life every 15 minutes and the snake--he thought it was real for sure. Sarah just loved her very unique mini hot-dogs!
Perfect trip! Perfect company! Perfect memories! Next time there will be diaper bags, strollers, etc. Gotta love it while you can!

Hi Megan, I don't know if you remember me, but I hope Justin does! He was one of my best friends in High School! Justin's brother Ben told me you guys had a blog. So I decided to check it out. Your family is so cute! Tell Justin Hi from Jamie Nielson Sair. Take care.
How fun!! The pictures make me want to go to Sea World again, it's been a while. But then I think about the strollers and diaper bags and everything else I would have to do to prepare. So I'm glad you got to go now. You have such a cute family.
I'm so glad you had a great time - it sure looks like it was a lot of fun!!
That looks like such a fun vacation! Oh, and you look so cute with your perfect little pregnant tummy too! That is one of the most fun times of pregnancy as far as looks go, cause you actually look pregnant not just pudgy, but are not huge yet! :) I can't believe how old Sarah and Spencer are getting!
That looks like you had TONS of fun!! I'm so happy you could go.
I'm so glad you got to go on a family vaca. I remember taking our first one that didn't involve visiting extended family and it was thrilling. I felt we were officially a family. What a fun trip for you guys! And trust me, having a diaper bags, stroller, etc., just makes life that much more fulfilling on family trips.
Very Cool! Looks like you had a blast.
