Reading . . .

As some of you see, I've been flying through books left and right--thank goodness to many of you dropping your favorites by. I've found that reading is the best past time right now. I can lay flat, it's not the depressing yucky stuff on tv, I'm finally getting around to books I've wanted to read forever, my fingers don't get sore from working too hard (sewing), and it keeps my busy mind off of things out of my control.

So, the best kinds of books at the moment are the happy, entertaining kind. None of the stuff that makes me want to get up and clean, change something in my routine, or that I have to get off the couch to actually follow through with what I'm reading. I'm just needing encouragement, reminders that life can be wonderful no matter what you're going through. Hmmm, I wonder why?

My mom was telling me about "The Great and the Terrible" series by Chris Stewart. Does anyone have these books that lives close by? I'd love to borrow them.

Don't you just love where a book can take you?

If you're looking for just fun and entertaining, one of my favorites is Austenland, by Shannon Hale. A series of juvenile fiction that I've been reading with Brigitta is Peter and the Starcatchers. There are three books that are supposed to come before Peter Pan. They're pretty fun. Long, but a quick read. Good luck with everything! I hope the next couple of months fly by!

I have read two other books by Shannon Hale:'Goosegirl' and the 'Princess Academy' and they are good too. Fun and easy reads. I can't imagine staying down all day, you sure are a good sport about it! Well congrats on the 8 years, that is so great.

Hey Meg,
Here are a few of the books I have read lately-email me and I can send them to you then you can bring them the next time you come to St. George-"These is my words" is really good. Austenland is cute but I don't have that one. Did you ever get into the "Twighlight" series. I liked them-I just read a different book by that author called "The Host" which was good too. The Great and Terrible are good too. Ohh our book club read "the Thirteenth Tale" which was kind of a mystery book. Different but good. I have been reading a lot lately so I will look at my bookshelf and send you some good ones. What have you read lately?

I LOVED the great and terrible books. I borrowed them from brent's parents...I wish we were neighbors! I watched the 6 hour pride and prejudice A LOT while on bed rest with Cami. Just wanted you to know we are thinking about you and praying all goes well!
