Family Here for Alli

We felt so special to have so much of our family join us out here in Houston. It's so neat to see one baby, so little, bring so many together!
First, my mom got to be with us for about a whole month! She may have missed the birth by a couple of days but we got to have her here for so many other things. She got to see this baby shower that Sarah W. put on for me. It was so fun to have all my favorite people in one room and in a room so lovely! Thanks for all the spoiling and good times! It's not often that the baby gets to attend her own shower. It was fun to be able to pass her around.

Because of my mom (and my dad's wallet and willingness to let her go), I got to escape this house that I feel like I haven't stepped foot out of forever. Allison got to adventure shopping, lots of lunches to places I'd wanted to eat for almost two years now, walks by the Waterway, drives through our "confusing streets" as my mom would say, playing in the fountains, and back and forth to Sarah and Spencer's new school. My mom was cooking all the meals, doing ALL of my laundry, and even waking up with the baby when Justin and I just couldn't do it anymore.

Later, Justin's parents, Paul, Ruby, Jocelyn, and my Dad joined us for some sight seeing and Allison's blessing. We went and experienced the Galleria Mall, and then went to Minute Maid Stadium for an Astro's game. The next day we got to see the Houston Space Center too! My sister, Heather, and her husband Josh came late that night to join us the following day at Alli's blessing too.
He did a flip too; now that made me "flip" out! :)
She had to watch Justin do it first and then she got up the courage.
He did great until he said he was done really quiet and the guy running it didn't hear him. Brave kid!

I loved having them all sit around our table after. There are sooo many Sundays that Justin and I look at eachother and sorta wonder "what's next?" We're always missing the Sunday evening chats, games, desserts, and visits. Thanks for making a wonderful Sunday-- in our home, way down here in Texas!

Okay so first I am totally laughing at Kamille's comment-so TRUE! You look great for JUST having a baby and now I am really happy that your family got to come see you!! What fun times! Allison is beautiful-like her mom! Her blessing dress is gorgeous.
