So, Sarah got off the school bus with a catalogue that the bus driver gave her. It happened to have many pictures of dolls that (of course) caught Sarah's complete attention. We've been trying to pull out of the kids what they want from Santa the last few days, so she jumped off the bus and had "the doll" she's sure Santa is going to bring her.
Well, Justin and I decided that maybe if she donated most of her 50 baby dolls to little girls that need a baby doll than we would help her send a letter to Santa about this new doll she really wants.
To our surprise she actually agreed to go through with this and with the most serious face you've ever seen looks Justin straight in the eye out of the top of her glasses, sticks her hand straight out and motions for a hand shake while saying "it's a deal?"
Justin and I just looked at eachother and first wondered if we both heard and saw the same thing? She sure got us laughing!!! Watch out Santa--Sarah's letter is on it's way and this deal is official with hand shake and all!

Love this story! She's so sincere, focused, and committed. At least you know there will be 51 happy little girls this Christmas- and Sarah will be the happiest of all!!!! And I like the song, I've never heard it before.
Where did she learn such charming deal making skills? I hope that the doll she chose doesn't break Santa's bank. The dolls my girls want sure does. Oy.
What a great story! And what a great example of how Sarah knows just what she wants and will figure out how to get it, if it's a possibility. That girls got it all figured out--serious street smarts.
That's our Sarah! I love your sign on your kitchen wall...Cherish the Moment. It's so applicable.
