Bedtime Story

So, this was our bedtime story tonight. If you've never read it, you should--adorable! It had me asking the kids: "what pet have you always wanted?"

Spencer's answer: "Not just a pet; an animal."
Left me wondering: "Does he have the pet thing mixed up?"

Spencer turns to me after a minute and smiles with his hands clasped at his chin, than says: "I've always wanted all the animals in Africa, or the world."

I sure had him wrong. I asked him if we should call him Noah and build him an ark? He just rolled over and laughed.

I heard him say a little later: "I can ask Noah how it was when I'm in heaven." I walked back in the room to see what else he had to say.

Spencer: "I think we need to cut our house off at the ground and scoop it up and leave a hole. Then put our house on the ark too. I don't want to miss you!"

This one had me cryin' as well as laughin'. Love this kid!!!!
