Ever since Sarah's little eyes could barely pop up over the edge of the school bus window at the whopping age of 3 years old, one of my favorite things to do in the whole wide world is to sit barefoot on the porch and wait for my kiddos to come home on the bus. I sit with a book or the computer these days and enjoy the sun, sometimes the rain, sometimes the wind and always love just having a peaceful moment to myself right before the kids sit in my lap and tell me about their day--I tell them about mine as well.
I'll always treasure these moments! We're pretty lucky to have our bus stop right at our door.
