Grandpa and Grandma Kroff

I married this amazing man, that came from amazing parents. Now my kids have the gift of being their grandkids. How lucky or should I say blessed they are.

Grandpa and Grandma Kroff came to visit us for a week! We wisked them away from the airport in our brand new mini van and drove to San Antonio to just get away. We loved feeling like we were on vacation too--no phones to answer, lists to cross off, errends to run.

Galveston was on our list when we got back. It was fun to finally make it down there after a morning of me trying to share the world of Shelf Reliance and taking the keys with me. Of course, Justin thought it was his fault and spent all morning trying to get the spare keys and we'll not ever forget the miracle of him picking me up at "the perfect moment" to head to the beach with them.

Can I just tell you how peaceful it was to drive hours in the car with our three lovely children. It's a world of difference in this incredible new mini van!!! I love it!!!

"Fish Tails" on Sea Wall Drive is definately a must for those venturing down to Galveston--I loved the clam chowder!!!

Grandpa got pinned in with Alli this time--pretty sure that was Spencer's doing!

And, of course, Grandma gets a moment to hear of Spencer's love--the world!

Yes, my husband is old! Over thirty, but getting more loveable everyday--didn't think it was possible! Man, I love this man!!!!

There is more to come on my birthday surprise--that'll be in another post.

We can't have a Kroff moment without an amazing breakfast--here they are at the stove! Can't you just smell the Skinny Pancakes and bacon?

The Riverwalk was just as beautiful as always! I loved that Sarah didn't mind being with us because there was Grandpa and Grandma to follow.

Here we are at the Alamo. It was fun to experience a big bite of Texas with family!

More food . . .

a taste of Mexico . . .

and of course our precious Alli. She couldn't have been more fun to drag around for a week with us. She adored her Grandpa and Grandma and at one point was willing to submit to a quiet moment in Grandma's arms!!! Remember she doesn't even do this for me--EVER!!!
I must say it was as if she had spent just as many memorable moments as Spence and Sarah with her Grandpa and Grandma. I worry about that being so far away.
It was really hard to say good-bye.
