One Year Old

My baby is a year old!!! I can't believe how this year has flown.  It seems like yesterday I was holding a two week old baby and kissing my two kids good bye on their first day of school and now I'm trying to keep my one year old from crawling onto the bus while I kiss the big kids good bye.

It's been a year full of smiles, tickeling, singing, dancing, surprisingly lots of sleep, chasing up stairs, pushing the stroller, getting used to a diaper bag again, changin diapers, and so much more.

The kids and I spent the morning of Alli's birthday swimming at our neighborhood pool.  We were the only ones there for two hours!  It was so peaceful and refreshing; Alli loves the water!

I'll always remember this year of making it through tough times by scooping this happy baby up in my arms and just feeling love oozing out of her!!!  She's such a blessing and a miracle sent to our family!

I made Texas sheet cake and we piled it up and stuck a candle in it for a little evening with friends.  The Yozviak's stopped in and we had the Carruth's come over for cake, ice-cream, and presents.

This one is completely used to a little sugar, chocolate, etc.  Spence & Sarah didn't know what cake was until they turned one.  Gotta love the third child!

Sarah gave her the first baby doll.  Spence bought her a book that sings rhymes.  The Carruths gave her clothes; we did too.  Grandma & Grandpa Kroff gave her a singing cookie jar--appropriate for grandparents don't you think? Grandpa & Grandma Jennings took her clothes shopping while they were here.  She scored big time!!!

. . . and last but not least for sure.  She did start to walk right before her birthday!  She's still practicing but will go across the room if we all back up.  Spence and Sarah like to help of course!
