Spencer chose to learn how to make these bead pets this summer. He never once needed me to sit by him and help. I had to ask to be included :) It was pretty dreamy though to hand him some instructions and just have him go at it. He's getting really good at this!
Sarah learned how to weave these hot pads this summer. The first couple were kind of hard to get her going but once she got a hang of it she was off and flying. She has made them grandmas, grandpas, neighbors, friends and anyone she can think of. It's fun to have her passing out hot pads instead of coloring pages these days :)
Oh, and this would be our family project. We thought maybe a kid project at first but then we realized it was a "double" sided puzzle! That's right. This picture was the exact same on the other side and they strategically cut the pieces from front to back and back to front so you can't see the regular flat side of the puzzle piece.
We were flipping and flipping those pieces back and forth and back and forth again. Both Justin and I admitted many times how addicting it was after sitting there for hours. Took us two weeks of the whole family working constantly. I suppose it didn't help that it was on the dinner table :)
