This is Why

All those long lonely days are drawing closer to an end (some day), and today we got a glimpse of why we've been doing what we have. We got Sarah off the bus and drove 20 minutes down the freeway to greet the best Man in the whole world! Justin flew into Houston today (it wasn't just an hour turn around talking on the phone and feeling how close we were). This time he had a good five hours! So, we took advantage of every minute.

We met him at his hotel, went swimming, bathed the kids, went to dinner, and then snuggled in bed while we watched American Idol. This time it wasn't through the fuzz of our rabbit ears. Cable is pretty cool after all (we've forgotten; it's been too long). Oh, and the sound of tired, sleepy kids is even more cool.

How many Dad's get to hang out all afternoon in the middle of the week? It was great knowing Justin was technically "working" and getting paid to play with his family. Ah, the life of a pilot. You gotta love it! I do. My life is wonderful!
