Contraction Update

I'm feeling much better after seeing the doctor this morning. She hooked me to a monitor for an hour and of course no contractions then, but she took many tests and seems to think I just have a irritable uterus--due to things we won't talk about here. There's one more test coming back tomorrow to confirm that I'm not really in pre-term labor (I hope). However, I have been told to take it easy--when the contractions come, to stop and lay down--drinking lots of water. I swear that's the answer to everything, "drink more water!" I've always thought I've been okay at that but apparently not enough.

I'm left wondering . . . how does a mother, wife, primary president, preschool teacher, piano teacher, neighbor, daugther, friend take it easy!?!? I guess I continue to learn my lesson. . . I let others step in and help. And help they have! Thank you, thank you for all those understanding and helping. Amazing the things you're sent to teach you lessons.

More updates to come . . . until then I will "take it easy" and "drink more water!"

I had the same problem - no fun! I ended up having to do bed rest with 2 of the kiddos - hopefully you can avoid that by just taking it easy. I learned that I could let a lot more go than I thought I could. I would love to help out - I'll touch base with you soon!

Yea, it does get tiring hearing the same shtick, but it's true! Whenever someone comes into the hospital with contractions, we try to "wash them out" with 32 oz. of water...all to go down within an hour. I'm sure you didn't enjoy the tests they collected. Sorry! And I think you may just have to delegate delegate delegate so you can take it easy. (Flashes of the Eagles: "I was runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load...") Just remeber the greater good!

I've been wondering how you do it anyway... who knows how you could ever take it easy? Even if they order you to bedrest you'll probably write a novel from your bed while you teach your kids to read.... you're that amazing! Good luck. You're in our prayers!
