Spring Piano Recital 2011

I love teaching...especially piano.  These piano recitals are my pay off for sure!!!  I cannot believe the progress all of my students have made the last 6 months!!!  Oh, and I absolutely loved having our brand new church to hold the recital at...the brand new piano sounded fantastic!!!

 I played a duet with almost every student this time and I think that tells how good they are!  It's hard to keep count with someone else.  This is Whitney.  She's been one of my students for the longest and I admire her determination at difficult songs!  Wow!  She played "Swan Lake Ballet" with me and nailed it!  It was so beautiful in that room...so beautiful!!!  It was the perfect finale for the night.

 I love the two boys that I have...excited to get another boy for the Fall.

These are the students I caught before they left, but I've got 9 students that played that night. I have one that didn't play and then 2 starting in the summer.  I'll have 12 students in all!!!

This is Spencer's wonderful performance...well done, buddy!!!  My kids are better performers than me for sure :)

Oh, I love my Sarah!  She did her first little number just as practiced...loved it!  Then she whipped out the second number by herself fantasic again...I sat down to do the last duet with her and she just started playing notes.  I don't know where they came from and you'll notice that I tried to remind her to read the music and show her where we were...didn't matter.  I just had to play my part and let her do her thing...she just makes me laugh.  Love her own way of doing things :)
